One night, an act of kindness brings a statue to life.

Play as the keeper of a lakeside villa; every day you toil to keep the gardens pristine and the interior sparkling, alone, surrounded by a place that isn't yours.

Others see you as a woman, but you struggle to make that word fully yours.


He is one of the statues under the arches of the canopus, a pool modelled after the ancient water basin of a Roman emperor. Trapped within marble, he watches.

Others would see him as a man.


Canopus is a short game made for Trans Joy Jam 2025 with art by Angelic Carousel; it's a tale of magical realism, a complicated relationship with womanhood, and purple prose.
